The Digital Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for driving demand and accelerating sales through digital-first trade marketing initiatives across the foodservice channel. This role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and customers (distributors, wholesalers, and end users such as pubs, QSRs and restaurants), ensuring that brand strategies are translated into commercially effective trade activations. The position requires strong collaboration with internal teams (sales, category, marketing, supply chain) and external partners (distributors, buying groups, and key operators), with a focus on measurable ROI and execution excellence.
Job Description: Develop and implement digital trade marketing plans aligned with commercial and category growth targets, translating strategies into impactful campaigns that drive distribution, rate of sale and penetration. Deliver and optimise customer lifecycle marketing across the UK & Ireland, including lead generation, CRM journeys, marketing automation and multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, WhatsApp) to drive engagement, conversion and retention. Drive Aviko’s brand visibility and conversion across wholesaler digital touchpoints, optimising use of retailer portals, e-commerce platforms and CMS to influence purchase decisions at the point of choice. Lead trade marketing with key customers, strengthening Aviko’s branded presence across their digital channels to increase end user awareness and new business conversion. Collaborate with international trade marketing colleagues to share best practices and localise global initiatives for the UK & Ireland market. Lead Search Everywhere Optimisation (SEO, GEO, SGE & AEO) and support Google Ads campaigns, including setup, optimisation, reporting and performance improvement. Monitor, analyse and report on digital KPIs, translating insights into clear actions, opportunities and next steps. Support integrated digital campaigns aligned with broader brand and commercial priorities, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to maximise execution and visibility. Identify and leverage opportunities in AI and automation to improve efficiency, speed of execution and marketing personalisation.
Qualifications: Experience in a digital trade marketing role within an FMCG environment, with hands-on delivery across channels such as website content, SEO, email, paid search, and campaign reporting. Strong understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including customer journeys, content performance and lead generation. Working knowledge of SEO, technical website best practices and key digital platforms such as GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads. Experience working closely with customers, understanding their business needs and translating these into effective trade marketing solutions that drive category growth. Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong copywriting and content editing skills for digital channels. Confident in using insights and performance data to recommend improvements and optimise results. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive, test-and-learn mindset with a focus on continuous improvement through experimentation and optimisation.
