Job Summary

Based in Knowsley, Merseyside, the HR Generalist will deliver a high quality HR service, providing advice and support in all aspects of the employee life cycle. The role will assist in decision making processes and positively impact the results of the organization by recruiting, retaining, rewarding, and developing talent.

Essential Functions

  • Provide advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on company policies, employment law and best practice.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary and grievances.
  • Support end to end recruitment processes, from designing job adverts to onboarding activities.
  • Support managers with performance and absence management, as well as assisting in the development of training plans.
  • Assist in local policy design, implementation and development.
  • Support the sites within your remit with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Working with the payroll team to ensure data is timely and accurate, supporting with the monthly process as well as annual processes, such as P11D data collation.
  • Coordination and delivery of mandatory compliance training across the direct workforce,
  • Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Develops fundamental knowledge of business units, including customers, competitors, products, markets and key business metrics.
  • Gains exposure to manufacturing environments through regular visits to plants within the role remit.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Solutions focussed with a solid generalist background, ideally gained within a fast paced environment (preferably manufacturing)
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
  • Confident communicator, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
