Do you enjoy turning complex data into meaningful stories? Philip Morris International (PMI) is a global leader in consumer goods, working towards a future where smoke-free products replace cigarettes for adult smokers who would otherwise continue to smoke. At Wave, we proudly support this mission through a skilled and diverse field sales operation — and we are excited to welcome someone who can enhance our insight and reporting capabilities. If you are passionate about working with data, curious about uncovering patterns, and confident in translating numbers into clear, actionable insights, this role may be a great fit for you. You’ll be at the centre of the PML programme, helping ensure our sales teams are informed, empowered, and equipped to deliver high-quality results. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their analytical career in a supportive, collaborative and inclusive environment.
What you will be doing
As an Insights Analyst, you will play a key role in enabling the PML field sales team to deliver their best work across Grocery retail. Your insight will help guide activity, measure performance, optimise execution, and demonstrate the impact of the team. You will:
- Deliver punctual, accurate and engaging reporting to the PML Account Controller, National Development Manager, Regional Managers and Territory Managers.
- Integrate multiple datasets — including EPOS data (DART), execution data (AFS), and internal systems — into a clear and accessible reporting suite.
- Analyse complex data to identify meaningful trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Present insights in an inclusive and accessible way, using strong storytelling to engage a variety of audiences.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Wave, including the Sales Operations and Thumbprint teams, to manage EPOS data within the Avidity SFTP environment.
- Take part in PML client meetings, sharing insights that inform strategic discussions and highlight the value of the field team.
- Produce field performance reports that support managers in guiding and developing their teams.
- Use advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning where appropriate, to help predict and optimise future performance.
Your contribution will directly support the PML sales team in delivering consistent execution, building strong store relationships, ensuring planogram compliance and driving incremental sales growth.
Do you have what it takes? We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Are comfortable working with numbers and enjoy solving analytical challenges.
- Are curious, open-minded and motivated to understand the “why” behind the data.
- Have experience using Excel and SQL, with interest or experience in PowerBI or similar tools.
- Can work with large datasets, cleansing and transforming them into useful insights.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully, adapting your style for different audiences.
- Feel confident creating compelling presentations that bring data to life.
- Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a positive and organised way.
- Are proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic about learning.
Experience in customer analytics, BI, or data science is welcomed but not required.
