About the role
Location: Flexible across the UK, ideally Midlands to South East (home-based with travel)
Salary: £55,000–£60,000 plus car allowance, bonus, private healthcare, annual leave purchase scheme and a comprehensive benefits package.
About the Role
Are you an experienced Client Leader, Client Services Manager, Account Director or Senior Field Sales Leader with a proven track record in the FMCG retail – grocery, convenience or other field marketing channels? We're looking for an individual who truly understands the dynamics of field sales and outsourced sales solutions, having built their career either agency-side or brand-side. You'll have extensive experience leading large, geographically dispersed field teams through a management structure or directly, owning senior client relationships, and delivering exceptional commercial results within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
This is a senior strategic leadership role within Avidity Group (often known internally as Account Manager), and experience of managing large-scale field sales operations, alongside significant client ownership and P&L accountability, is essential.
Whether your experience has been gained across Grocery, Convenience, Impulse, On-Trade, Away From Home, Wholesale or broader Retail channels, you'll bring a strong understanding of what it takes to drive performance, influence stakeholders and deliver growth in a highly competitive FMCG retail market.
We're looking for someone who can:
- Build trusted, senior-level partnerships to own the client relationship
- Lead large field sales teams through an established management structure, creating high performing and engaged teams
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, including full P&L ownership and delivery against ambitious KPIs.
- Use data, insight and market intelligence to identify trends, uncover opportunities and shape strategic recommendations and direction
- Translate complex datasets into compelling, client-focused narratives that influence decision making and demonstrate ROI
- Turn client strategy into clear, actionable field plans that drive performance in market
- Balance strategic thinking with operational excellence to ensure successful delivery across all aspects of the account
What You'll Be Doing
You'll lead the strategic client relationship, overseeing planning, performance and commercial delivery across a medium to large field operation. Working closely with your client stakeholders, internal stakeholders and field team, you'll use insight from multiple data sources to evaluate performance, identify risks and opportunities, and shape future recommendations. Data and insight will be central to your success in this role. You'll be comfortable analysing large volumes of performance data, identifying meaningful trends and translating findings into clear, compelling stories that support decision making. Whether presenting to clients, influencing senior leaders or driving field team focus, you'll use data to demonstrate impact, challenge thinking and unlock opportunities for growth. You'll also continually look for ways to improve performance, optimise operations and drive additional value for both the client and the business.
