Join Our Team as a Production Assembly Technician at Avidity Science! Are you hands-on, practical, and enjoy building quality products? Avidity Science is looking for a Production Assembly Technician to join our Production team at our facility in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire. This is a full-time, site-based role in a friendly, well-organised manufacturing environment. You’ll assemble and test precision products that are shipped to customers globally, working to clear instructions and high-quality standards.
Role Location & Working Pattern
- Location: Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire (HP18 9BA)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 4.30 pm
You’ll need to live within a reasonable commutable distance and have an existing right to work in the UK.

Your Role
As a Production Assembly Technician, you will:
- Assemble and test products (electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical) in line with production demand and work instructions.
- Operate machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
- Work effectively and efficiently to meet expected output levels.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and 5S in your areas of responsibility.
- Follow quality management system procedures that support compliance with BS ISO9001 requirements.
- Spot issues early and escalate non-conformances, quality concerns or assembly problems promptly.
- Support packing and despatch activities when required.
- Assist with new product and process introductions.
- Contribute positively to team working, supporting colleagues and related departments as needed.
- Take a practical approach to problem-solving, including basic fault-finding where required.

Helpful experience (but not essential):
- Experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environment using tools.
- Mechanical or electrical experience; an electro-mechanical qualification is desirable but not required.
- Experience in a similar organisation.

- Able to follow work instructions and work independently once trained, while knowing when to ask for support.
