Are you a commercially astute sourcing professional with a passion for supply chain excellence? Avidity Science is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the seamless supply of products and components that support our operations, production, and innovation.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have demonstrable experience in a purchasing / supply-chain role and be located in a commutable distance from our company offices (HP18 9BA). You will need a full driving license and a car for this role as you will need to travel to various supplier sites on a regular basis.

Your Role:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Raise purchase orders aligned with requisitions and inventory demand.
- Manage part returns and corrective actions in collaboration with Quality.
- Negotiate assertively within budget and organisational plans.
- Identify and act on cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply to the production line and customer delivery.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Service, Projects, Production, Quality, and Technical Support teams.
- Conduct supplier audits with the Quality Manager.
- Support Engineering with sourcing of samples and prototypes.
- Assist with stocktakes and cycle counting in the warehouse.
- Uphold ISO9001 QMS procedures and policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous B2B experience, ideally in Life Sciences or Lab Equipment sectors.
- Experience sourcing for a production line or manufacturing facility.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and collaborative, with a high level of accountability.
- Intermediate to strong MS Office skills.
- CIPS qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Full Driving license.
