Area Covers: North West (Ideal Location Leeds/Sheffield). Permanent, Full-Time. Salary up to £38,500 per annum.

Can you lead, motivate and engage a field‑based sales team to deliver results? This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high‑profile, multi‑client and multi‑category team.

Overview: Your focus will be on performance‑managing your field team – ensuring delivery of results through field‑based coaching, team meetings, training, development and appraisals. Ideally you will have experience leading a field‑based team, preferably within the FMCG industry, and be strong at building relationships with key stakeholders in a client‑facing environment. Our field team calls on convenience and independent stores, working with our current customer base and targeting new customers to increase the presence and sales of our clients’ products. Your team covers the North West of the country from Glasgow/Edinburgh, Northeast England, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Stafford, Nottingham and Derby.

Responsibilities:

  • People management & team leadership
  • Ownership of team performance in delivering agreed objectives
  • Training, coaching & development
  • Working in partnership with our in‑house recruitment team to recruit & retain
  • Commercial insight from the field, providing effective and timely reporting
  • Developing and enacting joint business plans with the client to deliver results

Qualifications: Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, with expertise in the Convenience and/or Grocery Channel. Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills are required, and you should be willing to go the extra mile to achieve team and personal targets. While FMCG experience is preferable, we will consider experienced managers from other markets.

Additional Requirements: This role requires a full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 points or previous bans). All offers will be subject to successful completion of a DVLA licence check. The position involves regular travel on a daily basis; overnight stays may be required on occasion.
