We have an exciting opportunity for DNO Authorised SAP’s to join our team.

The role
Our Senior Authorised Persons facilitate delivery of contracts on Distribution Networks up to 33k V while providing technical advise to the wider team.
You will be involved in all aspects of 11/33k V construction projects, ESQCR rectification and outage management from planning to commissioning.
You will work side‑by‑side with professional project managers in order to achieve a combined goal to deliver each project safely and on time and to budget.
Safety from the system will remain your primary objective.
The responsibilities
- Conduct and review point of work risk assessments on operational sites.
- Liaise with Project Managers on resource needs for network shutdown projects.
- Pre‑visit switching locations prior to switching schedule submission.
- Submit switching schedules in accordance with pre‑agreed project programs and liaise with Control.
- Achieve safety from the system and issue of safety documents in accordance with specific Authorisation levels and client DSR’s.
- Promote a positive HS&E culture whilst recommending new initiatives for continuous improvement.
- To identify improvement activities and training needs and give feedback of findings to senior managers and directors.
- Monitoring staff to ensure DSR and procedural compliance.
- Attend and actively contribute to the Health & Safety Initiatives.
- Carry out any other reasonable request made by your line manager to support departmental or company objectives.
- Participation in standby roster.
- Attendance in emergency fault situations.
Who we are looking for
- You will have relevant experience working on OH networks at 11k V
- Current DNO Senior Authorisation at 11k V
- People with IOSH Managing Safely qualification
- City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322)
- People who lead by example.

What would be beneficial
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a SAP.
- SAP Authorisation up to 33k V
- Experience on both OH and UG networks, including switchgear installations.
- SAP Authorisation for both OH and UG networks
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- ONC/HNC Electrical Engineering
