Avid Personnel are proud to be representing our client as they look to hire an experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking skilled HGV Drivers to join their team. This role is based at their site just outside of Knowsley area. As an HGV Driver, you will play a crucial part in the operations, contributing to the mission of delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive HGVs safely to transport cargo to designated UK locations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic and tacho regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all vehicles and trailers to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel, and AdBlue usage, and delivery logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Valid HGV Class 1 licence with no more than 6 points.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an HGV driver within the transportation industry.
  • Familiarity with curtain siders/flatbed is preferred but not mandatory, as training can be given.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
