Help launch a new category in the UK media market.

About Avid Collective

We've built the end-to-end platform for direct media partnerships. Think branded content, digital sponsorships, podcasts, creators, print buys, direct display buys - anything non-programmatic. Our platform helps agencies plan, brief, buy, deliver and report on campaigns with publishers, creators and media owners in one end-to-end system. In April, we're launching our collaborative agency platform in the UK with 500+ publishers, creators and media owners ready to activate campaigns. Now we're scaling our agency sales team to take this proposition to market. This is a rare opportunity to join at launch and help shape the future of direct media partnerships in the UK.

The Role

As an Agency Account Director, you'll lead agency adoption of the Avid platform across HoldCos and leading Independent agencies. This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role focused on winning early traction and building long-term agency partnerships. You'll combine structured platform sales discipline with relationship-led partnerships, opening doors, running briefs through the platform, and turning agencies into repeat users - ensuring the client experience is exceptional across every touchpoint. You'll manage multiple pipeline sources including:

  • your existing agency network
  • inbound and marketing-driven leads
  • event and industry follow-up
  • referrals from Avid's global network

This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the work, loves the product they sell, and takes pride in building repeatable success in a new market. You'll work alongside another Account Director and report directly to our Co-Founder & Head of New Markets, with clear progression as we scale the team. This is a foundational hire - perfect for someone who's excited about the opportunity to build something from an early stage.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Grow and own an agency patch
  • Build and convert a strong, high-value pipeline across senior agency stakeholders, client leads and planning teams
  • Turn agencies into repeat users of the Avid platform
  • Close early deals and demonstrate market momentum quickly
  • Own the full agency sales & partnership cycle
  • Run briefs through the platform from pitch -> campaign -> repeat usage
  • Maintain strong pipeline discipline and accurate forecasting
  • Ensure an exceptional client experience that drives repeat adoption
  • Drive adoption of a new platform through repeatable agency partnerships
  • Educate agencies on how direct partnerships fit into modern media plans
  • Turn agencies into long-term Avid partners
  • Represent Avid at industry events, meetings and client presentations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales Enablement and Leadership
  • Provide structured market feedback to product teams in the UK and Australia
  • Help continue to develop the UK working culture as we expand in this market

What We're Looking For

A proven platform or media seller with strong agency relationships and a track record of delivering revenue and growth through partnerships.

Experience

  • 8+ years in media, platform or partnerships sales
  • Strong existing network across UK agencies
  • Proven experience selling a platform, product or tech-enabled solution
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Deep understanding of agency structures, client workflows, and the evolving role of technology in media planning.
  • Experience working agency-side or closely with agencies
  • Proven track record of hitting revenue targets

Skills

  • Confident presenter and relationship builder, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong pipeline and proposal management
  • Comfortable selling a platform or tech-enabled solution
  • Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot preferred).
  • Passion for publisher-driven solutions

Who You Are

  • Competitive and target-driven, but collaborative in your approach
  • Comfortable working within structured sales processes and CRM discipline
  • A self-starter who manages your own day-to-day effectively
  • Happy being a senior individual contributor and expert in your craft
  • Energised by launching new propositions and winning early deals

This role is ideal if you:

  • Enjoy being hands-on and close to the sales process
  • Want to help launch a proven product into a new market
  • Thrive in structured environments but enjoy building momentum
  • Are excited by early wins and proving traction quickly

This role may not be right if you:

  • Are looking to move quickly into people management
  • Prefer highly defined, mature sales organisations
  • Prefer relationship management without revenue ownership
  • Are looking for a partnerships role that is highly creative with bespoke solutions.
