This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join one of the biggest fishing tackle companies in Europe! We are looking for a passionate, creative designer to join our talented design team based at our UK office in Telford, Shropshire.
Job Role:
- Co-ordinating the design and development of seasonal apparel ranges across multiple brands.
- Research and propose new designs, trends, innovations, and technical advancements from the industry in line with Brand DNA.
- You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of apparel products, from lifestyle and outdoor collections to technical-specific gear.
- Liaise with suppliers and Brand Managers to ensure samples are developed to a final stage for production.
- Collaborate with the product development team to create visually appealing packaging designs, logos, flyers and occasional graphic projects.
- Administrative support to the design team, including day-to-day duties.
Areas of Responsibility:
- You will be expected to take ownership of your responsibilities whilst working closely with the rest of the design team; good communication and strong organisational skills will be expected, along with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects to ensure all deadlines are met and completed on time.
- An understanding of apparel design and the ability to put together a detailed βtech-packβ as you will be required to assist in the development of seasonal clothing ranges across all brands.
- Some knowledge of print production and experience in packaging design may be advantageous as you will be expected to assist the creation and execution of visually appealing design from concepts to print.
- Provide relevant creative support, e.g. downloading, backing up, archiving, creating digital presentations as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working within a creative team with at least 1 year experience in graphic design.
- Highly skilled in Illustrator, Photoshop and other Adobe creative suite packages.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to present and discuss design concepts.
- Highly self-motivated, responsible and proactive.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of branding and adhering to the brand guidelines.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge in packaging design and an understanding of print production.
- Flexible and adaptable to deal with change with a willingness to learn new skills and assist and grow within the team.
- Basic understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques.
- A proactive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
