Your New Role with Avicenna: Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT)

As an ACT, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient supply of medicines to patients. You will support the Pharmacist and wider team by clinically checking dispensed prescriptions, allowing the Pharmacist to focus on more patient-facing services.

You’ll be a vital part of our mission to deliver outstanding customer care and community health services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out the final accuracy check on dispensed items, ensuring all legal, clinical, and procedural requirements are met.
  • Supporting the dispensing process and mentoring other members of the dispensary team.
  • Maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice, cleanliness, and organisation.
  • Working collaboratively with the Pharmacist to deliver high-quality patient care and services.
  • Leading by example in excellent customer service and a patient-first approach.
