Location: Prince Consort Road Health Centre, Prince Consort Road, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear NE8 1NB

This position is for 37.5 hours per week.

Your New Role with Avicenna:

You will ensure customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner to enhance the success of the pharmacy by providing excellent customer service. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Dispense items into compliance aids or monitored dosage systems, when appropriate.
  • Check that receipt of prescriptions at the medicines counter has been correctly performed and verify stock availability on acceptance of prescription.
  • Provide excellent levels of customer service to all customers to ensure customer needs and requirements are met/exceeded.
  • Support the other services as required by the pharmacy and identify opportunities for the Pharmacist Manager, Pharmacist, Relief Pharmacist or Locum.
  • Clinically check all prescriptions to avoid possible drug interaction. When interaction is identified, make the RP aware so that the prescriber is contacted.
  • Ensure CD scripts are dispensed legally and the bag label indicates the last day by which the script can be handed to the patient.
