Purpose

  • Supporting the Configuration Manager in the management activity that applies technical and administrative direction over the life cycle of ACS products.
  • Covering key areas of configuration management planning, change control, and Configuration Status Account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configuration Management Planning oSupporting the EDES (Airbus) / SCN (Boeing) / ACS (UK) Ltd change process oReviewing company MPS in alignment with EDES/SCN/ACS point of embodimentoProducing Impact Assessments to ensure robust and lowest impact points of embodiment along with buy in from the rest of the business.
  • Change Control. Processing Change Requests Supporting weekly Change Review Board (CRB) Updating DOCR adding and changing CR budgets in alignment with approved CRs
  • Configuration Status Accounting oReporting As Designed As Planned As Built configurations. oInterrogating Evolution, 3Dx and OCE to confirm the above statuses. Working with Engineering, Planning, Operations and Quality to resolve any configuration findings.
  • Development of better ways of working oWorking with IT to develop better ways of extracting key information from the various systems to support standard Configuration Management Reporting

  • Achievement of On Time Delivery (OTD) for Configuration Deliverable data

Knowledge, Education & Experience

Knowledge:

  • Experience in manufacturing & design processes.
  • Experience delivering and reporting of KPIs.
  • Strong development and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple disciplines. xgikmsk
