- Supporting the Configuration Manager in the management activity that applies technical and administrative direction over the life cycle of ACS products.
- Covering key areas of configuration management planning, change control, and Configuration Status Account
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration Management Planning
- Supporting the EDES (Airbus) / SCN (Boeing) / ACS (UK) Ltd change process
- Reviewing company MPS in alignment with EDES/SCN/ACS point of embodiment
- Producing Impact Assessments to ensure robust and lowest impact points of embodiment along with buy in from the rest of the business.
- Change Control.
- Processing Change Requests
- Supporting weekly Change Review Board (CRB)
- Updating DOCR adding and changing CR budgets in alignment with approved CRs
- Configuration Status Accounting
- Reporting As Designed – As Planned – As Built configurations.
- Interrogating Evolution, 3Dx and OCE to confirm the above statuses.
- Working with Engineering, Planning, Operations and Quality to resolve any configuration findings.
- Development of better ways of working
- Working with IT to develop better ways of extracting key information from the various systems to support standard Configuration Management Reporting

- Proficient in general computer skills (MS-Word, Excel, Adobe, photo software, etc.)
Education
- Degree, HND, other similar qualification in engineering or equivalent experience in aircraft industry.

- Ability to extract key data from the company systems to support clear reporting.
- Capable of conveying clearly and concisely complex issues with all members of the design and production organisation.
