Take your culinary career to new heights at one of the world's busiest international airports. We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join a prestigious VIP Airline Lounge at London Heathrow Airport, delivering exceptional dining experiences to international travellers in a premium hospitality environment.

The duties of the Sous Chef will include:

  • Assisting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Supporting the Head Chef in menu planning and cost implementation of the kitchen.
  • Writing menus with a variety of food options for Lounge guests.
  • Enforcing health and safety.
  • Managing the pass and ensuring food quality standards.
  • Training kitchen staff and supervising kitchen stations.

The Skills and Experience required for this Sous Chef role:

  • Sous Chef experience from a hotel, contract catering, restaurant, banqueting or similar environment.
  • Experience managing a minimum of 500 covers per day.
  • Experience in managing, training and developing kitchen personnel.
  • Experience in producing European and Continental cuisine.
  • The ability to work shifts to cover a roster that will include weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • The ability to work shifts between 0530 hrs – 2230 hrs.

In return the Sous Chef will receive:

  • Payrate of £18.00 p/h - £19.23 p/h
  • Min 40hrs + per week.
  • Criminal Record Check (DBS) reimbursed after 4 weeks.

All successful candidates for this position will be subject to 5 years background checks to meet airport vetting and will also require a Police Clearance (DBS) check.
