We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support a fast‑paced kitchen team by maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards across kitchen and food preparation areas, while assisting chefs with basic food handling duties.
Pay rate: £13.25 p/h (post 12 weeks £13.50 p/h). Hours: Early Starts from 05:30 hrs and Late Finishes until 22:30 hrs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
- Collecting and washing up dishes using an industrial dishwasher.
- Ensuring storerooms, refrigerators and freezers are organised and tidy.
- Assisting deliveries by moving goods from one location to another.
- Cleaning and maintaining all kitchen equipment to maximise efficiency and prolong life.
- Ensuring the cleanliness standards back of house and front of house are maintained.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Helper, Catering Assistant, General Hand or Kitchen Hand.
- Good communication skills (spoken and written).
- A flexible 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to multi‑task within a fast‑paced environment.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
- Team player.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work shifts between 08:30 – 22:30 hrs.
- Ability to commute by public transport to and from London Heathrow Airport.
All successful candidates will be subject to background checks and a Police Clearance (DBS) check.
