We are seeking an experienced Air Cargo Duty Manager for a well-established handling agent based at London Heathrow Airport (TW6). Role Overview

The primary responsibility of the Cargo Duty Manager is to lead the cargo office and warehouse teams in delivering high volumes of time-sensitive air cargo movements. The Cargo Duty Manager needs to have a wealth of experience in a similar senior role from a reputable air Cargo Ground Handling Agent or Air Freight movements specialist.

Duties of the Cargo Duty Manager will include:

  • Lead the office and warehouse teams to meet customer service expectations.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with airline customers.
  • Monitor and manage time-critical cargo movements.
  • Plan operational resources to ensure cost-effective cargo handling.
  • Efficiently allocate employee resources to accommodate both planned and unplanned cargo movements.
  • Oversee daily operational processes to ensure compliance with set service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage staff performance, including absence management, appraisals, and disciplinary actions.

To be considered for the Cargo Duty Manager role, candidates must demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the airfreight industry.
  • Ability to work a mixed shift pattern that will include day and night shifts.
  • Strong operational resource planning skills.
  • Experience managing teams of up to 40-50 personnel per shift.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
