A fulltime opportunity for a highly experienced Aircraft Maintenance Check Manager to work for a leading MRO based in Birmingham.

The Aircraft Maintenance Check Manager will manage a team of highly skilled Aircraft Engineers and take responsibility for the overall management and delivery of the allocated maintenance projects.

Key duties & responsibilities of the role:
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance on all projects.
  • Maintaining the technical integrity of work performed under your supervision.
  • Issue certificates of release for the specific aircraft type QA044 Staff Authorisation Document.
  • Allocation of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Maintain progress logs relating to tasks.
  • Deliver maintenance projects to target times within any budget restrictions set.
  • Take full responsibility for the technical integrity of maintenance.
  • Ensure a daily progress report is completed for aircraft under maintenance.
  • Carry out DQS audits in line with base procedures.
  • Deliver formal appraisals for staff and advise on further training and individual development.
Required experience to be successful in this Aircraft Maintenance Check Manager role:
  • Category B Licensed Engineer with C certification by aircraft type. However, if you don't have C Cert, could you successfully achieve a C Licence Rating in line with UK CAA regulations?
  • 737/A320 type ratings are essential; B787/B777/A330 ratings are desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Base Maintenance as a B1 and/or B2 certifying engineer.
  • Strong working knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills with an adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
