Aviation Recruitment Network Limited have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Counterbalance forklift Operative for a leading air freight ground handling company based in the heart of Gatwick Airport.

You will be required to work a mixture shift pattern working 2 days shifts followed by 2 nights shifts on a rotating shift pattern (4 on 4 off) including weekends between the hours of 06:00 am β 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm β 06:00 am.
As a Forklift Operative, you will receive:
β’ All shifts Β£15.12 p/h rising to Β£16.12 p/h
β’ Overtime after successful completion of probation, Β£22.17 – Β£29.56 p/h.
β’ Free uniform.
β’ Free Cargo Operative Training.
β’ Weekly or monthly pay.
β’ Free parking in ULEZ free zone.
Forklift Operative duties will include:
β’ Using a forklift to load and unload parcels, freight & cargo from vehicles.
β’ Build and break down aircraft pallets.
β’ Build cargo onto aircraft units to airline specifications.
β’ Working on a busy parcel sorting line moving parcels from aircraft containers.
β’ Scanning cargo and completion of airfreight documentation.
To be considered for this Forklift Operative position you must have:
β’ A valid counterbalance FLT licence or certifications.
β’ Any experience as a Warehouse Operative, cargo operative would be highly desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Successful Forklift Operative will be subject to:
β’ A 5-year checkable history for security vetting purposes.
β’ Criminal Record check (refundable).
β’ Good standard of numeracy and literacy and ability to pass DfT Cargo Operative Training.
