About the Role

The primary purpose of the Support & Engine Storage Technician role is to administer all aspects of engine wrapping and storage, while also supporting 145 activities as specified under the main responsibilities.

The role will involve ensuring all stored engines are appropriately maintained, documented and covered under the relevant storage or 145 contract, while supporting the wider operational requirements of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all periodic humidity inspections on stored engines.
  • Liaise with customers regarding events and rectification.
  • Ensure all engines are covered under a storage or 145 contract.
  • Maintain a register of engine ownership.
  • Coordinate with Sales to ensure all engines remain under storage.
  • Wrap all engines in accordance with the required procedures.
  • Ensure stock and serviceable tooling is maintained.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards within the engine bay.
  • Carry out loading and unloading of all engines and cradles.
  • Inspect and document, including photographs, all incoming engine cradles and engines.
  • Maintain a forklift licence for vehicles up to 15 tonnes to support 145 activities.
  • Gain and maintain crane driver authorisation to support 145 activities.
  • Gain and maintain fuel bowser driver authorisation to support 145 activities.
  • Carry out facility and equipment maintenance and support activities for 145 as required.
  • Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally possess

  • The ability to work well under pressure and deliver results.
  • A positive approach towards identifying problems and solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Good communication and team-working skills.
  • Engine wrapping experience is advantageous.
  • An aircraft maintenance background is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • A valid UK/EU driving licence.
