About the Role

The Aircraft Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft surfaces in accordance with aviation industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting
  • Mix paints and coatings to required specifications
  • Apply paint using spray guns and other specialised equipment
  • Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with standards
  • Perform touch-ups and repainting as required
  • Carry out the re-sealing of panels removed during maintenance
  • Remove old paint and corrosion safely and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in aircraft painting or industrial painting (aviation experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, coatings, and finishing processes
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety standards
  • Ability to use spray painting equipment and surface preparation tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Right to work in the UK
