JMC Aviation are working with a respected engineering company based in Southend, looking to recruit a new Hydraulics Technician to join their team. This client is a leading MRO which has been operating for over 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and helping their employees progress within their roles. They offer in-house component repair, overhaul and maintenance of a range of aircraft types. This is a Permanent Position based in Southend. Working Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:30).

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to carry out testing and repair and overhaul of various hydraulic aviation components in line with quality and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Test, repair and overhaul of various hydraulic aviation components in accordance with original manufacturers' manuals and instructions
- Ensure quality standards and procedures are observed and maintained
- Establish and maintain a legally compliant and safe working environment
- Prepare workshop reports and material reviews to allow the purchasing and commercial departments to create customer estimates
- Aid in bringing in new capability and researching new improved ways to save with cost and turnaround time
- Undertake risk assessments and ensure safety requirements are met
- Understand customer needs and ensure these are met/exceeded at all times
Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding of the requirements of delivering maintenance repair and overhaul of aircraft components with EASA Pt 1 45 regulatory requirements
- Background in a hydraulic aviation environment essential; previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Use of both Skydrol and hydraulic oil rigs
- Good understanding of MS Office and business systems and procedures
- Ability to interpret manuals and record inspection findings
- Right to live and work in the UK
