On behalf of our client, Storm Aviation, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Compliance and Safety Officer to support their maintenance and compliance activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical excellence within an aircraft maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to coordinate the initial application, renewal, or change to company maintenance approvals
- Process personnel certification authorisations on behalf of the Director of Compliance and Safety
- Monitor and coordinate responses to compliance findings to ensure closure within agreed timescales
- Perform analysis of compliance findings and associated causal factors to identify and communicate adverse trends
- Coordinate and manage the receipt and processing of safety reports, including submissions to regulatory authorities and (S)TCH organisations
- Conduct safety investigations in accordance with defined protocols to identify effective interventions
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of control measures following safety events
- Analyse safety events and associated causal factors to identify and communicate adverse trends
- Assist with the development and management of Compliance and Safety documentation
- Support the promotion of compliance and safety awareness throughout the organisation and to customers
- Provide analytical support to Safety Action Groups (SAGs) where required
- Carry out any additional duties as directed by the Director of Compliance and Safety
Candidate Requirements
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent, preferably within an Engineering or Safety‑related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an aircraft maintenance, airline, compliance, or safety environment
- Excellent knowledge of aviation standards within an airline maintenance environment, particularly EASA regulations
- Strong understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- High standard of written and spoken English
- Strong computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom
- Experience working within a Part‑145 environment
- Previous involvement in safety investigations or compliance auditing
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
