About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Material Administrator to support their operational support and materials activities. The successful candidate will effectively coordinate the movement of material to meet operational and maintenance requirements, whilst supporting planner buyers in managing controlled inventory and supplier relationships. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and operational teams to ensure compliance with procedures, airworthiness directives, and company standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic aviation engineering environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance, operational performance, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the materials open order book
  • Expedite materials to meet operational and maintenance requirements, including AOG and ADD material requirements
  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve material discrepancies
  • Ensure all material planning, purchasing, and disposal activities comply with company procedures
  • Negotiate best value and support cost-saving initiatives with suppliers
  • Support materials buying plans, BOM amendments, and performance measures
  • Maintain and develop materials planning systems, processes, and documentation
  • Analyse data and produce business and statistical reports as required
  • Identify and mitigate risks to material supply
  • Update SAP with material supply information and promise dates
  • Ensure compliance with Health
