About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for an IT Systems Administrator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, support and continuous improvement of the organisation’s IT systems and applications.

This role provides day‑to‑day IT support, oversees network and server infrastructure, manages business‑critical applications, and plays a key role in enhancing internal systems.

The position also includes software development, IT training, and IT asset management responsibilities.

This role is very well suited to someone who is earlier on in their career, potentially a graduate or someone with a keen interest in IT systems who has good technological proficiency and would like to develop a career in this area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary administrator and super user for the internal system.
  • Enhance and maintain system functionality, including the Customer Portal, CRM functions, shop floor implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and support business applications.
  • Oversee application management, upgrades, maintenance and integrations.
  • Provide day‑to‑day IT support to users across the organisation.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and system issues.
  • Manage and maintain network and server infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, security and backups.
  • Design, develop and maintain software solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Deliver IT training to staff on systems, applications and best practices.
  • Develop, maintain and manage the IT Asset Register.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems administration, networks and servers.
  • Experience in application management and business systems.
  • Software development and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Right to work in the UK.
