JMC Aviation are working with an aviation manufacturer based in Harlow, looking to recruit a new Technical Support Engineer to join their team. This is a family‑run business with multiple decades of experience, striving for excellence across their skilled workforce as they deliver in‑house engineering and support services on business jets and wider aerospace components. This is a Permanent Position based in Harlow. Working Monday–Thursday 07:30–16:00 and Friday 07:30–12:30.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out commercial estimating/pricing for general, military and commercial aircraft component repairs using OEM or customer‑approved data
  • Coordinate and source materials, AGS, tooling and external processes as required
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications and regulatory standards to develop Engineering Methods of Manufacture
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for components and assemblies
  • Plan and set out manufacturing operations in line with engineering and production requirements
  • Liaise with customers and workshop teams regarding engineering issues and repair orders

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally aviation maintenance (Part‑145 desirable)
  • Experience in commercial estimating/pricing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to act as a customer focal point
  • Proficient in MS365
  • Organised, able to manage workload and work to deadlines
  • Team‑oriented with a willingness to learn and progress
