Operational Administrator – Temp to Perm Opportunity

Location: Paisley, Glasgow
Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: Β£14.36 per hour PAYE
Salary Equivalent: Β£28,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation within the aviation industry, JMC Aviation is currently recruiting for an Operational Administrator to join their team based in Paisley, Glasgow.

This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator looking to work within a busy aviation and base maintenance environment.

Previous aviation experience is not essential.

We are keen to hear from candidates with strong transferable administration experience who are confident working with systems, documentation and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will initially join on a 2-month temporary contract, with the opportunity to progress into a longer-term position following successful completion of the initial period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support within a busy operational environment
  • Maintaining accurate records, documentation and internal systems
  • Using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manage and maintain information
  • Supporting engineers, colleagues and internal stakeholders with administrative requirements
  • Ensuring documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures
  • Managing and prioritising multiple tasks and requests
  • Updating databases, systems and document management platforms
  • Identifying and escalating errors, discrepancies or missing information
  • Ensuring internal processes and compliance requirements are followed
  • Communicating professionally with colleagues across the operation
  • Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as required
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience within an administration or office-based role
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience using databases, CRM systems or document management systems
  • Confidence learning new systems and processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing tasks within a busy environment
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues at different levels
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures
  • An understanding of the importance of compliance and accurate record keeping
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Previous experience within aviation, engineering, maintenance or another regulated environment
  • Experience working within a compliance or process-driven organisation
  • An interest in developing a longer-term career within the aviation industry
