About the Role

The Carpenter will support the growing Carpentry team in the assembly of various crates for aircraft parts and components, ensuring items are safely prepared for shipping. The role involves completing daily work scopes based on aircraft parts requiring crating, as directed by the customer and Head of Carpentry. The Carpenter will also assist the Head of Carpentry with any additional work required to support the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all crating and carpentry requests safely and efficiently, ensuring the correct PPE and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Complete requisition forms for materials and supplies and submit them to management for processing.
  • Communicate effectively with management to clarify work order information and provide updates on completed work.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company Health & Safety policies and report any issues or concerns, including 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Promote a positive safety culture by monitoring personal and team compliance with established safety guidelines.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and reduce errors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Carpentry team to ensure all work is completed to the required standards.
  • Maintain a professional and proactive approach while supporting operational requirements.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the role, as requested by Senior Management or as required by business needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in Carpentry or General Building Maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent practical and hand skills.
  • A good level of physical fitness.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and professional “can do” attitude.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • The ability to remain focused on company objectives and deliver against targets.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and achieve results.
