Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Planning to lead our planning function across Part 145, Part 21G, and BCAR A8-23 organisations. This pivotal role ensures efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the reliable execution of maintenance and production schedules to deliver predictable aircraft availability for Flight Operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardised planning processes across maintenance and manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with Part 145/Part 21 requirements and the company MOE.
- Oversee workload scheduling and production planning for Pt145 Workshop activities, including Engine Overhaul, Aerostructures, and EW Maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning KPIs and reporting.
- Maintain effective aircraft and component maintenance schedules through close collaboration with CAMO, Engineering Delivery Managers, and supporting departments.
- Coordinate planning resources within Integrated Delivery Teams (IDTs) to provide clear, accountable service to internal and external customers.
- Manage forward demand planning with Procurement and resolve supply chain issues.
- Provide SME knowledge and support for IT system integration (e.g., Aerotrac).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver predictable output for aircraft maintenance and production to Time, Cost, and Quality (TCQ).
- Ensure effective forward planning and resource allocation.
- Support reactive maintenance through AOG activities.
- Manage production planning for fleet modifications and configuration control for Part 21G activities.
- Lead and develop the planning team, ensuring compliance with aviation legislation and Health & Safety regulations.
- Implement quality assurance actions and maintain robust procedures and work instructions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in planning processes within aviation maintenance and production environments.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Part 145, Part 21G, BCAR A8-23).
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and planning tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on safety, compliance, and delivery.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
