MPI Limited – Aircraft Engineering Supervisor (Wildcat)

Location: RNAS Yeovilton, Yeovil, Somerset, England (BA22 8HT)

Job Summary

Operate as a senior hands‑on supervisor for the Wildcat aircraft, overseeing aircraft management and ground support activities, ensuring compliance with customer policy, regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out contractual tasks and maintenance activities for Wildcat aircraft, ensuring customer policy and regulations are fully met.
  • Raise customer complaints, quality issues and business risks to appropriate team leads.
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH, tool control and quality practices.
  • Complete required administration duties and attend further training courses to maintain and develop skills.
  • Work with naval air publications, compound and interactive electronic technical publications (C‑IETP).
  • Use engineering and asset‑management systems during support and servicing operations.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of a few years working in an airworthiness environment with hands‑on experience on the Wildcat aircraft.
  • Certificate of Competency at supervisory level.
  • Formal training in the Wildcat aircraft and associated trade systems.
  • Knowledge of Wildcat aircraft engineering, aircraft systems and servicing support equipment.
  • Understanding of Lean operating procedures.
  • Ability to work with naval air publications and C‑IETP.
  • Adherence to health & safety regulations and COSHH.
  • Understanding of engineering and asset‑management systems.
  • Completion or ability to complete a Maintenance Human Factors course.
  • Knowledge of rotary‑wing military procedures.
  • Understanding of airworthiness engineering safety and compliance under regulatory and legislative requirements (MAA).
  • Capacity to work productively, efficiently and effectively under tight timescales, maintaining operational outputs.
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance.

Employment Details

Full time, onsite; 38 or 40 hour per week, Monday–Friday, with optional shift work and additional shift pay. Rate of pay to be discussed on application.
