Support helicopter maintenance and modification programmes by producing clear, accurate, and usable task cards and work instructions within a regulated aviation environment. Work closely with maintenance managers, planning engineers, and hangar‑based technicians to ensure tasks are completed safely, logically, and in full compliance with approved data.

Responsibilities

  • Create, control, and maintain task cards and work cards for engineers and technicians.
  • Translate complex maintenance tasks from AMMs and Service Bulletins into clear, step‑by‑step instructions.
  • Ensure robust version control so the shop floor always works to the latest approved documentation.
  • Validate workcards alongside technicians to ensure instructions are practical and executable.
  • Work with key stakeholders to continuously improve documentation accuracy and usability.
  • Support safe, efficient, and compliant aircraft maintenance activities.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience working with complex engineering or technical processes.
  • Ability to understand, extract, and write technical instructions in clear English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.
  • Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace).
  • Effective administration and document control skills.
  • Ability to engage with engineers, planners, and maintenance teams.

Desirable

  • Aviation experience as a maintainer or technical professional.
  • Knowledge of Part 145 and/or Part CAMO environments.
  • Exposure to maintenance planning activities.
  • Experience using Envision.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Engineering qualification (Level 3 equivalent or above).

Desirable

  • Part 145 / Part CAMO familiarisation or aviation industry training.

Additional Requirements

  • DBS clearance and eligibility for SC clearance required.
  • Must meet UK Export Control requirements.
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom (no visa sponsorship available).
