A rare opportunity to join a high-profile military aviation programme in a pivotal planning role. We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading defence aviation operator for an experienced Maintenance Production Planner to support delivery of a fast-paced L159 Base Maintenance Programme. If you thrive in a structured MRO environment and know how to turn a work scope into an executable plan, this role was built for you.

The Role

You’ll be the engine behind maintenance delivery — translating approved work scopes into sequenced, resourced, material‑ready plans that keep aircraft moving and line operations supported. This is a hands‑on planning role that sits at the heart of base maintenance output.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining detailed maintenance schedules aligned to aircraft delivery targets
  • Translating approved work scopes into work packs and task sequences per company policies and procedures
  • Ensuring labour, skills, tooling, and materials are in place before work begins
  • Coordinating with procurement and stores to guarantee parts are available at point of use
  • Monitoring progress against plan, identifying risks and critical path impacts early
  • Driving recovery actions for delays, shortages, and emerging issues
  • Liaising with CAMO Maintenance Planning to maintain work scope alignment and AMP compliance
  • Supporting aircraft throughput to enable downstream line operations availability
  • Maintaining accurate planning records and configuration control data
  • Ensuring all activity complies with CAA Part 145, MAA (where applicable), and MOE requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience in aviation production planning, maintenance planning, or MRO operations
  • Strong working knowledge of the CAA Part 145 environment and maintenance flow
  • Experience managing resource planning, materials coordination, and schedule delivery
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning systems or MRO software
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of CAMO functions and AMP control
  • Experience in military or mixed‑regulation environments (MAA / FAA / EASA)
  • Understanding of SMS and quality systems
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 27001)

Other Requirements

  • Relevant technical or engineering qualification
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance
  • High level of integrity, resilience, and accountability
