Volantes Technical Recruitment are seeking a skilled B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join one of our leading clients Mobile Service Team, based at Luton and travelling at short notice throughout the South of England and occasionally worldwide locations. This is a rare opportunity to join a fantastic team of driven and talented engineers who thrive on delivering first class service and support. This role will provide and perform certification of rapid response Aircraft Maintenance services from Mobile Support Units and line station facilities.
The successful candidate will join a long established and respected forward‑thinking company that has a proven pedigree in career development within the organisation with type and non‑type training provided to develop your skills and capabilities.
Main Responsibilities- Responsible for Line Scheduled and Unscheduled/AOG service delivery/certification
- Working as part of a small team and individually with responsibility to co‑ordinate Line and AOG events to conclusion
- Responsible for ensuring that the allocated MST vehicle is always properly provisioned, clean, and ready for service prior to leaving shift.
- Accountable for Compliance with all procedures detailed within the GAEL Maintenance Organisation Expositions (EASA/CAA)
- Accountable for Compliance with all company health and safety policies, procedures and COSHH requirements
- Unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with at least one of the following type ratings:
- Bombardier BD-700 Global Express
- Bombardier Challenger 350
- Bombardier Challenger 604/605/650
- Bombardier Challenger 850
- Embraer EMB‑505 Phenom 300
- Embraer EMB‑135/145
- Cessna Citation 560XLS
- Cessna Citation 680/680A
- UK Part 66 Licence Category A must have held Cat A privileges on at least one of the type ratings listed.
- Extensive experience as a line/base certifying engineer, with experience in AOG support roles, preferably in mobile support.
- Extensive aircraft maintenance experience with a wide knowledge and skill range in servicing, inspection repair and modifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hold a valid Passport and UK Driving Licence.
- Flexible and able to travel at short notice.
- Good understanding of the concepts and requirements of SMS, Quality Assurance and Audits.
- Line management experience including the ability to delegate work, set clear directions and manage workflow.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills and foster teamwork among team members.
