Gama Aviation, a reputable business aviation company operating fixed-wing and rotary aircraft, is seeking a B1 Licenced Engineer for a project based in the Lincoln area. The role involves work on a line of twin-turboprop aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure performance/quality of performed works in compliance with company processes and procedures.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company procedures and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain current engineering licence and applicable type rating, ensuring validity of licences and type ratings.
  • Provide professional communication with customers and contacts.
  • Achieve and maintain the required security clearance level (SC, DV police checks etc.).
  • Ensure all activity complies with data protection rules and procedures.
  • Book accurate and consistent timekeeping in the applicable software system.

Essential Requirements

  • Unrestricted UK CAA B1 Part 66 License (with B200/300 type rating)
  • Security clearance (SC, DV police checks etc.)
  • Extensive previous aircraft base maintenance experience with a wide knowledge and skill range in servicing, inspection, repair and modifications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Medically fit to pass a company doctors examination.

Job Specific Skills

  • Computer literacy, using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical understanding and experience for specific aircraft type as dictated by site or contractual involvement.
  • Working knowledge of the aviation regulatory framework (Part 145 / Part M / MAOS / CAA Leaflet B40).
  • Command of English language and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of King Air aircraft maintenance and operations standards and practices.
  • Understanding of the concepts and requirements of SMS, quality assurance and audits.
  • Managerial skills – ability to delegate work, set clear directions and manage workflow; strong mentoring and coaching skills; ability to train and develop subordinates; ability to foster teamwork.
  • Flexible and able to travel and work at other customer or Gama sites.
