About The Role:
On behalf of our client, a UK independent organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Certifying Engineer to sign off routine maintenance, inspections and service bulletins on CFM56 and LEAP Series Aircraft Engines. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft engines and components in line with approved procedures
- Certify completed work in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet airworthiness, safety, and quality standards
- Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and engineering drawings
- Conduct fault diagnosis and implement corrective actions
- Complete and sign off maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal quality systems
- Liaise with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as required
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures as required
- Follow technical drawings/procedures as needed
- Keep relevant records updated
Essential Qualifications:
- A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry
- Previous experience gained working in an engine shop or aircraft MRO
- Ability to act as certifying staff for engine maintenance and release to service
- Experience performing maintenance on CFM, LEAP, V2500 engines is advantageous
- Competency to follow appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Engine Shop Manual procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Procedures, EASA/FAA Part 145 requirements and procedures
- A sound computer literacy with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- B1.1/C License holder
