An exciting opportunity to join a well-established real estate private equity firm with a strong institutional platform and proven investment track record. The firm manages approximately €4bn of assets under management and currently has around €1bn of committed capital available for deployment from a large institutional investor.
The role sits within the Finance and Operations team and is ideal for a motivated, hands-on individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and is keen to develop broad exposure across fund and asset-level finance.
The Role
This is a varied and commercially focused position, providing exposure across fund accounting, SPV management, and operational finance. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and overseeing timely and accurate management accounts for SPVs and supporting fund-level consolidation under local GAAP and US GAAP
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements across SPVs
- Liaising with external auditors and supporting the preparation of statutory accounts
- Managing relationships with lenders and account-holding banks, including covenant reporting
- Coordinating tax compliance and reporting (VAT and corporate tax) and working with external tax advisers on structuring and implementation
- Preparing and managing budgets and forecasts
- Coordinating with external directors and service providers to support the administration of group entities
- Reviewing, improving, and implementing financial processes and systems
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including payment processing
- Preparing debt covenant calculations, capital statements, and drawdown documentation
- Supporting investor reporting, including capital calls and LP communications
- Assisting with portfolio performance monitoring, underwriting comparisons, and returns analysis
The Candidate
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- 3–4 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role (ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred)
- Background in private equity or fund administration, with a solid understanding of fund structures, SPVs, and investment vehicles (particularly desirable)
- Experience within real estate or asset-backed investing (strongly preferred)
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Yardi or similar real estate accounting systems (preferred)
- Exposure to private equity or alternative investment accounting (preferred)
- Fluency in French, German, Dutch, or Italian (preferred but not essential)
- A proactive, hard-working mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a lean, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment
