Ascend Airways are operating a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick in early 2024. The company is part of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, operating a fleet of 221 aircraft on 6 continents.

Ascend Airways are looking for Cabin Crew and Senior Cabin Crew to join our growing team for the spring and summer of 2026. The role of Cabin Crew is vital, playing a key part in delivering first-class customer service while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance on board. As an ambassador for Ascend Airways, Cabin Crew contribute directly to our brand, reputation, client retention, and overall customer experience through their professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to service excellence.

We will be holding an Assessment Day at London Gatwick (LGW) on 17th February 2026. Successful applicants will receive an email invitation confirming their place at the Assessment Day, along with further details on the location, timings, and what to expect throughout the day. The Assessment Day will provide candidates with the opportunity to learn more about Ascend Airways, the Cabin Crew role, and our company culture, while also taking part in a range of activities designed to assess key competencies required for the role.

Responsibilities
  • Attending pre-flight briefings to understand each crew member's duty and position for the duration of the flight
  • Completing pre-flight checks
  • Greeting passengers as they board and exit the plane, ensuring timely on and off-boarding
  • Conducting safety demonstrations to all passengers before take-off
  • Enforcing safety and security regulations, monitoring the cabin frequently for the duration of the flight
  • Providing assistance and first-class customer service to all passengers, as well as personalised assistance where needed for passengers with special/additional needs
  • Maintaining composure and assisting passengers during emergency situations
  • Offering drinks and snacks services
  • Assisting the passengers during disembarkation
  • Carrying out after flight checks and debrief
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of additional languages is desirable
  • Hold a valid UK CAA Cabin Crew Attestation (Not Essential)
  • Ability and confidence to swim (25 metres unassisted)
  • 1 year proven experience in a Cabin Crew role is essential
  • Knowledge of medical first aid (updated medical training will be provided by Ascend Airways)
Additional mandatory requirements
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom
  • Ability to hold a UK Cabin Crew Medical
  • Hold a valid passport that permits unrestricted travel worldwide
  • Be over the age of 18 at the time of application
  • Hold the valid vaccination certificates where necessary
  • Satisfactory background and DBS screening checks
