Ascend Airways operate a small fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick early 2024. The company is founded on the legacy of Synergy Aviation, a respected UK AOC holder, which has been acquired by Avia Solutions Group, already the world’s largest ACMI provider. Our objective is to offer ACMI and charter customersa modern fleet of UK based aircraft and crews to meet their capacity requirements, while aligning our business decisions with the UK’s Jet Zero strategy. Ascend Airways are seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to join our Cabin Crew Training Team, providing exceptional training to our crew members and customers, ensuring safety, service excellence and professional growth.
The role will be based in Gatwick, however travel will be required within the UK and overseas, for training delivery and to support the ACMI business model. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be flexible and have the ability to travel and spend time away from home to support our training projects.Flying duties will be rostered, outside of training events which may include the conduct operational flights, line checks and cabin monitoring checks.
Working hours and patterns will be variable from those set out in the above schedule, as weekend and bank holidays will occasionally be worked for training events in line with our flight crews’ rosters, in which case, days off in lieu will be issued.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive ground school courses to both Cabin Crew and pilots of company and customers
- Delivering training courses in a consistently professional manner
- Utilise various instructional methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and resources.
- Mentor and support new crew members and instructors during training and onboarding.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to both Cabin Services and Training Management
- Ensure consistency and quality assurance of all training content
Crew Member Operations:
- Assigned duties, office days as required by the Head of Cabin Crew Training
- Promote and implement potential areas of improvement and innovation to maintain high levels of delivery.
- Participate in departmental Audits and Reviews as required by the Head of Cabin Crew Training
- Attend Regular training team meetings
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Participate in continuous professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years training and assessment experience with a commercial airline or (Classroom).
- Train the Trainer or recognised teaching and learning qualification
- Experience of delivering SEP/SOP/Fire and Smoke/Wet Drills/Aircraft specific training in a classroom/Practical setting
- A good understanding of UK CAA regulations
- Experience in delivering training to diverse groups.
- Operational Experience as an in charge SCCM
- Dangerous Goods qualification is desirable

- CRMT Certificate and experience of delivery is desirable
- AET Level 3 or equivalent
- Valid CIN and the ability to deliver UK DfT aviation security Courses
- (Experience on the 737NG, -8 Max is desirable).
- Experience of conducting line checks and onboard compliance checks is desirable
- UK CCA and UK Cabin Crew Medical.
