The Job
Aveva has embarked on a Controls & Compliance Transformation programme with an objective to uplift its Finance and IT internal controls maturity. As part of this programme Finance Systems team is in the process of designing, implementing and operationalising Application and IT General Controls across various Financial, HR and IT systems.
A Systems Controls Analyst plays a vital role on the controls and compliance transformation journey. This role sits in Finance Operations team in AVEVA and reports to Finance Systems Controls Director. This role will be responsible for the systems controls (design, implementation, ongoing management, and continuous improvement). This role provides a great opportunity to shape the future of the Finance Systems team and set the right tone, processes, and procedures over corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining controls procedures to support system users globally
- Developing and maintaining documentation for systems approval workflow processes
- Identify and implement system improvements to enhance functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve system issues and optimize processes.
- Managing the periodic re-certification of access controls
- Acting as a key liaison between Finance, HR and IT team
- Support in closing internal and external audit management letter points.
- Support internal projects as required
Essential Requirements
- Knowledge of financial and other controls
- Knowledge of systems like Oracle, SAP, HFM, WorkDay
- Experience of Governance, Risk and Controls systems/tools beneficial
- Experience of working with global and virtual teams
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative approach, with strong cultural empathy
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Positive attitude and comfortable managing ambiguity
