Your purpose as a Lead Development Representative is to identify, develop, and qualify business for AVEVA’s Direct Sales team. You will be responsible for following up with inbound leads resulting from demand generation activities, as well as maintaining an outbound book of business involving account research and omnichannel prospecting strategies. The leadership team has a collaborative, authentic style that provides a framework that allows for autonomy, whilst always being available for support and guidance. Key Responsibilities
- You will work to develop and qualify new opportunities for AVEVA Sales. This will involve both working on inbound leads created via marketing campaigns and leads created via your own research and outbound prospecting.
- Within your assigned market, you will work closely with local marketing, sales, technical sales, and other key stakeholders to generate and progress opportunities in alignment with their defined market priorities.
- This role requires a good understanding of outbound strategies, skills to prospect, perform cold calls, and discovery meetings, industry-specific value proposition(s), and an understanding of go-to-market strategy.
- At times, it may require research, planning, and production of simple business presentations for internal and external delivery.
- Leverage prospecting tools, CRM, social selling, and automation tools to engage and convert leads into opportunities for sales and account managers.
- Meet and strive to exceed personal KPIs including business development activities, booked meetings, and opportunities transferred.
- Develop leads using the AVEVA lead management process while updating and maintaining CRM records accordingly.
- Support marketing activities, such as campaigns, events, and webinars where appropriate.
- Occasional travel to engage with sales and marketing in the field may be required.
Essential Requirements
- Discovery meeting and cold call experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or professional sales/inside sales/SDR-related experience.
- Initiative-taking, natural hunter, results-oriented with a positive and outgoing personality.
- Enthusiastic collaborator and a self-starter.
- Hunter mentality. Tackles tasks with energy and commitment.
- Quick to adopt new skills, motivated for career development, and willing to continuously improve their understanding of the value proposition for AVEVA’s solutions.
- Skills to identify market trends and opportunities for nominated territory, refining lead development plans to take advantage of such opportunities.
- Confident communicator via phone and e-mail; strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening skills, able to determine the best solutions for challenges voiced by prospects.
- Able to understand prospect business requirements and effectively describe them to the sales team.

Hybrid working
