A bit about the role:
This role sits within a team that acts as a conduit between the Private Markets Equity Investment Team and Distribution functions, representing our key private markets equity capabilities to clients and helping to drive the commercial success of our real estate, infrastructure, natural capital and venture capital platforms. As part of the Private Markets Equity Investment Specialist team, the successful candidate will work across all private equity strategies within a wider team that manages over $60B of assets across a diverse range of investment solutions. Ideally, you’ll bring 2–5 years’ experience in real estate, alongside a strong willingness to broaden your expertise across other private markets capabilities. The role offers a varied remit, including acting as a Portfolio Manager Proxy—working closely with investment teams to develop a deep understanding of products and processes and representing these to clients and Distribution as a product expert. You’ll also play a key role in shaping and refining investment messaging, ensuring consistency across the product suite and all supporting collateral. Additionally, you’ll contribute to product strategy by leveraging your understanding of client needs and market trends to help inform and evolve our private markets equity offering.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and presentational skills
- Confident network and relationship builder, both external and internal
- Regulatory threshold competent and approved, or willingness to work towards this
- Effective and up-to-date regulatory knowledge
In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
What you’ll get for this role:
- Competitive salary (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Discretionary bonus opportunity - depending on individual performance and Aviva Investors!
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
- 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days!
- Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it.
- Make your money go further with up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
- Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme.
- Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave.
- Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
- Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 annual volunteering days to help others.
