The job involves working with the ERM Director to help embed AVEVA’s day-to-day ERM process and develop it to a more mature level alongside other second line functions and Internal Audit. The aim is to ensure that the AVEVA business functions have a good understanding of the key risks impacting the business and work with them in developing and delivering their risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embed ERM for AVEVA building on the existing processes and approach.
  • Operationalise AVEVA’s long-term strategy and our policies and processes to identify and manage risk response.
  • Align understanding and use of AVEVA’s ERM framework and taxonomy across all business functions.
  • Prepare concise and insightful risk reports as required under AVEVA’s governance model.
  • Embed risk management practices into key business functions, including risk appetite statements and key risk indicators.
  • Drive the fraud risk assessment process and maintain the associated risk framework.
  • Coordinate with other 2nd LOD functions to ensure the cycle of risk assessment, risk response, assurance and feedback is completed.
  • Maintain Group Risk Register.
  • Manage ‘Emerging Risks’ initiative and align with Going Concern, Viability and other resilience initiatives.
  • Maintain value-adding working relationships with leadership across the business.
  • Ensure correct allocation of risk ownership and facilitate assignment of cross-functional or interdependent risks.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in enterprise risk management and apply these where relevant.
  • Consider internal/external factors and rate of change to corroborate the risk assessment process.
  • Support risk disclosures in external reporting.

Ideal Experience:

  • Experience in managing ERM within a comparable global corporate business demonstrating the value of effective risk management.
  • Experience of presenting to Senior Leadership.
  • Detailed knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management practices and wider corporate governance frameworks, including the UK Governance Code and PCAOB standards.
