To support the operations team in mitigating risks across a range of areas with particular emphasis on the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
- An interesting and varied role to support the Operations team at AVEVA. Reports to our Global Head of Employment but will also include supporting across other legal areas.
- Provide employment support to HR in the EMEA region focusing particularly in the UK and Continental Europe. Support will include employee relations matters, employment projects and some limited TUPE support.
- Opportunity to get involved in commercial disputes, particularly in EMEA, supporting our Legal Director who manages this area.
- Opportunity to get involved in corporate, property and competition work supporting our Legal Director who manages these areas.
Skills And Experience:
- Hold a practising certificate in UK or major European jurisdiction.
- Well-established experience post qualification.
- Experience of managing employment issues in the UK and/or continental Europe.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to build rapport and robust relationships.
- Strong team player.
- Willingness to explore and upskill in the other areas mentioned above with any prior experience in any of these fields preferable.
- Previous in-house experience preferable.
- Additional European language skills would be desirable.
- Experience of liaising with European Works Council particularly in Germany would be beneficial.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and strong cultural fit with AVEVA’s values.
