AVEVA is creating software trusted by over 90% of leading industrial companies. AVEVA is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our R&D team in summer 2026 for a 10-week internship.

Employment type: Full-time Summer Internship

Duration: 10 Weeks, starting June 2026

Work Type: Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

Locations: Cambridge, UK

As a Software Developer Intern, you will:

  • Work alongside our experienced software developers on one of our small, energetic development teams.
  • Learn the process of software development using modern languages like Agile to help full-time work in designing, coding, testing, documenting, and supporting our software products.
  • Assist in problem solving, debugging and applying software to engineering.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and get access to data, and help support engineering solutions.

We’re looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree, studying towards Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Engineering degree or related field.
  • Basic understanding of software development in one or more modern programming languages (C++, C#, HTML/JavaScript, Python etc.)
  • A passion for creating software with good skills in problem solving and debugging.
  • Good communication with the ability to explain a technical solution.

Hybrid working: By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
