We are looking for talented developers with the skills and passion to successfully implement complex technical solutions/platforms. While prior experience of build systems, componentisation, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) will be an advantage, this role is an opportunity for talented developers to move into Platform Engineering.

You will work in AVEVA’s E&D Foundations team researching, designing, implementing and maintaining core software components for the Dabacon Products suite using a variety of technologies: Azure DevOps, YAML Pipelines, C#, C++, Fortran.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a deep understanding of software, its modules and the infrastructure and contexts in which it runs.
  • Demonstrate sound decision making on work to be sure it is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Design, implement and maintain both the core components used by other product teams.
Desired Experience
  • Able to demonstrate examples of strong design and coding skills with a reputation for delivering quality results quickly.
  • Learn new skills through a balance of self-education, internal training and mentoring.
  • Follow Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of developing/maintaining software in a legacy environment.

  • Problem-solving: You’ll need to enjoy getting stuck into problems. Troubleshooting and solving challenging problems is a big part of this role.

Hybrid working
