What You’ll Do
- Partner with sales teams to shape account strategy and identify expansion opportunities in strategic accounts.
- Use PI System as a foundation for consultative conversations that uncover broader operational and digital transformation needs.
- Lead early- to mid-stage customer engagements, including discovery, solution visioning, conversations with business leaders, and value-based positioning.
- Proactively identify whitespace for AVEVA’s operations portfolio and CONNECT within both existing customers and new logo pursuits.
- Help customers connect operational pain points and business priorities to meaningful transformation initiatives.
- Build compelling solution narratives that resonate with operations leaders, digital transformation leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Develop business value and ROI-focused messaging to support strategic opportunities.
- Influence account plans and growth motions in partnership with sellers and presales leadership.
- Support complex, multi-solution opportunities by framing the right vision before handing off to deeper technical specialists as needed.
- Present a credible point of view on how industrial organizations can improve performance through better use of operational data, connected systems, and transformation initiatives.
- Mentor other solution consultants and provide leadership on consultative selling, account strategy, and customer engagement approaches.

Who You Are
You are a strategic presales leader with the credibility to engage customers in real operational conversations and the commercial mindset to help shape growth opportunities. You know how industrial organizations make decisions, how improvement initiatives gain traction, and how to connect technical possibilities to measurable business outcomes.
You are comfortable speaking with operations leaders, digital transformation leaders, and VP- or C-level stakeholders. You ask strong discovery questions, build trust quickly, and know how to move a conversation from a current-state problem to a broader strategic vision.
You are not limited to product-level discussions. Instead, you understand how to use a proven foundation like PI System to open the door to larger transformation conversations across operations, industrial data, and connected solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience in presales, solution consulting, industry consulting, operational technology, industrial software, or related customer-facing roles.
- Strong business leader-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead consultative customer conversations and shape solution direction in complex sales environments.
- Experience building business value, outcome-based messaging, and ROI-oriented narratives.
- Ability to influence account strategy and partner effectively with sellers on strategic opportunities.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 33% across the Americas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an end user, operator, practitioner, or industry professional in a real operational environment.
- Background in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with PI System or other industrial historian / industrial data platforms.
- Experience selling or positioning multi-solution offerings rather than a single product.
- Experience in one or more of AVEVA’s core industries, including energy, chemicals, mining, power, infrastructure, life sciences, marine, or consumer products.
- Experience driving change, improvement initiatives, or digital transformation within industrial organizations.
- Familiarity with operational excellence, reliability, maintenance, process engineering, OT/IT collaboration, or performance improvement use cases.

Hybrid working
