Overview: AVEVA is creating software trusted by over 90% of leading industrial companies. The IDAM Engineer will deliver and maintain modern and legacy infrastructure to support a rapidly growing software company, focusing on automation of IAM processes and improving security posture through collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor IAM and messaging systems, including Microsoft Exchange.
- Operate and maintain multi‑site Active Directory domains & forests, including Azure cloud components.
- Adhere to and develop guidelines for deploying, monitoring, maintaining, and documenting essential infrastructure services.
- Respond to critical issues and coordinate with technology vendors.
- Provide accurate architecture diagrams and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and manage identity, access, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions issues.
- Collaborate with security teams to harden infrastructure and monitor for malware and unauthorized access.
- Manage Exchange Online and Hybrid Exchange environments (mail flow, connectors, transport rules).
- Configure mailbox policies, anti‑spam/phishing policies via Defender for M365, secure mail routing and encryption.
- Automate IAM request fulfilment workflows in ServiceNow or Jira.
- Implement automation for reporting and data extraction to support audit readiness.
- Engineer and optimise Joiner‑Mover‑Leaver processes.
- Leverage AI‑driven solutions for operational tasks, troubleshooting, and reporting.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong foundation in Microsoft security policies and configurations across cloud services, IAM, and privilege access management.
- Experience with SSO technologies and authentication methods (OpenID Connect, SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, LDAP).
- Production‑level experience implementing and supporting Microsoft security infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of mail flow and email security solutions (DKIM, SPF, DMARC).
- Proven automation experience and ability to create scalable, repeatable security practices.
- Experience managing Azure resources using code‑driven methods.
- Experience with IDAM systems incidents and response.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange or other enterprise mail services and managing Exchange Hybrid environments with Defender for M365.
- Experience with SailPoint or similar identity governance platforms.
- Experience engineering JML processes.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve workflows.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years in IAM‑focused roles delivering security in cloud‑native, distributed environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps tools, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for IDAM tasks.
- Experience in M365 administration focused on Exchange Hybrid and Teams Enterprise Voice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field (or equivalent).
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Customer‑focused mindset and ability to deliver secure solutions that meet business needs.
