AVEVA is looking for a talented Senior Legal Counsel, Employment, to join our legal team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to become the trusted expert on employment law across EMEA, making a real difference in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
In this newly created role, you will work closely with our Global Head of Employment and collaborate with colleagues across the UK and Continental Europe, with a particular focus on Germany. Key Responsibilities- Provide legal support to HR across EMEA, especially in the UK and Europe.
- Lead legal engagement with European works councils, particularly in Germany.
- Advise on employee relations, employment projects, and TUPE matters.
- Monitor legislative changes and guide HR on implementation.
- Support AVEVA’s whistleblowing/speak-up programme.
- Collaborate with the Legal Director on commercial disputes as needed.
- Qualified employment lawyer with a practising certificate in the UK or major European jurisdiction.
- Experience with works councils in Germany and understanding of other European jurisdictions.
- Several years of post-qualification experience in employment law.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and European works council legislation.
- Prior in-house legal experience, with ability to hit the ground running.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Additional European language skills, preferably German.
- Willingness to take on broader legal work, including commercial disputes.
