Job Details

  • Location: Derry/Londonderry or Cambridge, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
  • Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement defined features, bug fixes, and user stories following team standards.
  • Contribute to the stability and robustness of our software by applying industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with fellow software developers, SDET’s and DevOps engineers to clarify requirements, break down work, and deliver sprint commitments.
  • Write and maintain automated unit tests and support continuous integration by investigating failures and improving code coverage.
  • Support the deployment and development of our software by debugging issues, improving logging and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Assist with maintaining production systems by investigating issues, providing well‑scoped fixes, and implementing preventative improvements such as improved diagnostics and automated tests.

Essential Requirements

  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Up to 2 years of experience in a technical or security‑related role (internships count!).
  • Technical Skills (willingness to learn):
    • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Foundational experience with software development using C#.
    • Basic understanding of software development principles such as OOP, Unit Testing, SOLID and DRY principles.
  • Team‑oriented, collaborative, with clear communication and strong organisational skills.
  • Methodical, proactive “can‑do” attitude with a strong learning mindset and desire to grow technical depth.

Desired Skills and Competencies

  • Interest in DevOps practices or exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services.
